Note that the Gurganus web site claims that John was about 69 years old when his son, Nicholas, was born; it appears that there is a generation missing here! The Gurganus web site shows further ancestry through Robert de Thurston Drury (b. ca. 1160 in Horningsheath, Co. Suffolk, d. ca. 1203) and wife Matilda (b. ca. 1160 in Thurston to Anselm de Thurston; she d. 1231).
