[48876] Mary's obituary: "Greenbush - Mary Dunn Weatherbee passed away Jan. 2, 2009, at her home. She was the best friend, loving wife and life's companion to Albert "Buddy" Weatherbee for 64 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Beulah Brown Dunn and Olin F. Dunn. She is survived by her husband; and two loving daughters and their husbands, Sharon Czarnecki and husband, Andrew, of Weare, N.H., and Valerie Bartholomew and her husband, Mark, of Enfield, Conn. Her daughters' marriages provided six wonderful grandchildren, who in turn blessed her with 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom were dearly loved. Mary was born and raised in South Lincoln; attended the one-room school there, and then on to Mattanawcook Academy, where she and Al fell in love. After Al's time in the service and college, they moved to Connecticut where they spent 40 years before returning home to Maine to retire. She spent endless hours of volunteer work with youth groups in Connecticut; St. Mary's of Windsor Locks, Junior Achievement, Golden Lancers, Host Family for Runaway Girls, etc., and was active in town projects in Greenbush. Mary was co-owner and office manager of Weatherbee Insurance Agency for a few years. Her family is grateful for the care provided by the staff of St. Joseph Hospice during her last days and for the three very special 'angels' that were with us to give of their love and compassion during the long battle with Alzheimer's disease. It is their care that made it possible for her husband to keep his promise, that she remain at home and he would always be there with her until the end, and God willing, even after death. Visiting hours will be noon-2 p.m. Sunday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln."
