Mattern, 78, Chestnut Tower, died at 11:50 a.m. Saturday in the Sunbury Community Hospital, where she was admitted Nov. 26. Born in Shamokin Oct. 26, 1901, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Emma Kreiger Felix. Her husband of 57 years, J. Lloyd Mattern, is her only survivor. Mrs, Mattern formerly worked at Hacks Hardware Store, Shamokin. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Sunbury. Formerly of Shamokin and Milton, she has lived in Sunbury since 1972. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Zweier Funeral Home, Sunbury, by the Rev. William Hartman. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington."

[42011] Find A Grave Memorial 114696909 offers: "Isabel was the daughter of John of Lorn MacAlan and Jonet Issac. She married Sir John Stewart, Lord of Lorn, son of Sir Robert Stewart. They were the parents of : Sir James Stewart of Lorn d. c 1448 (The Black Knight of Lorn); Sir Robert Stewart, 1st Lord Lorn d. 1449. Around 1386 both of John's daughters married Stewarts of Innermeath from Perthshire. Janet and Isabella inherited Lorn equally as females under the laws of primogeniture. Then Janet and her husband Sir Robert Stewart traded their half of Lorn to her younger sister Isabella and her husband Sir John Stewart in exchange for Sir John Stewart's inherited estate of Durrisdeer in Perthshire. Through Isabella the Lordship of Lorn then passed to her Stewart husband."
