[12065] Mansfield News-Journal, 23 September 1983, p. 7: Forest L. Heichel, 82, of 529 E. Main St., died Thursday evening at Colonial Manor Health Care Center No. 1, after a long illness. He was born May 6, 1901, in Ashland and was a partner in Heichel Hardware Co. in Loudonville for 43 years, retiring in 1966. During retirement, Mr. Heichel continued his trade as the local locksmith and also was the repairman for the village parking meters. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Loudonville, a life member of the Knights of Pythias, the Bellville Lodge and a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Lantz Heichel, whom he married in 1934, and a sister, Mrs. James (Kathryn) Kloss of Sarasota, Fla. A brother, John, who was Mr. Heichel's partner in the hardware business, preceded him in death in 1978.

His widow is the former Mary Ryzanich. A lifelong resident of Olyphant, he was a member of All Saints Russian Orthodox Church. Mr. Tomaskevitch was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of Raymond Henry American Legion Post 327. Also surviving are four sons, John, Olyphant: William, California; Peter Jr., Throop and Joseph, Youngstown, Ohio; a daughter. Mrs. Antnony Chearno. Youngstown; two sisters, Mrs. Stephen Smetana, Olyphant, and Mrs. Alex Begey, Dickson City; a brother, Stephen, Olyphant; 11 grandchildren and a greatgrandchild. The funeral will be Thursday from the Turko Funeral Home, 404 Susquehanna Ave., with Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. in All Saints Church, interment, parish cemetery, Peckville."
