Survivors are her four children Ariana Bakeman and husband Bruce of California, Melanie Tardiff of Dennysville, Maine, Frederick Tardiff II and wife Linda of Stetson, Maine, Matthew Tardiff and wife Laurie of Hancock, Maine; grandchildren are Karl Anderson IV of Minnesota, Jessica Lindsey and Matthew Tardiff of Florida, Brandi Rowell and Ryan Tardiff of Ellsworth and Jennifer Beckwith of Machiasport; as well as seven great grandchildren; Jacqueline leaves behind her sisters: Kathleen Underhill of Stetson, Lorraine Thibodeau of Levant, Theresa Gray of Stetson, and Craig Archer of Stetson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her brother Reginald and her sister Carol. Jacqueline was one of the most helpful, humble, tenderhearted, knowledgeable, caring people God put on this earth. She was a guiding light and beacon to all who knew her. It was said of her that she was a living Hallmark Card and Florence Nightingale combined. She was valedictorian of Higgins Classical Institute. Later, she went on to graduate from Nursing School in Boston. Jacqueline excelled as the Head Nurse of the Intensive Care Unit at EMMC. Jacqueline was a true servant of God. The Word was a lamp unto her feet and a light unto her path. She was a dedicated Christian in words and selfless actions. She cared for all those around her bringing comfort to them. Her light shined. Her love lifted."

John Getchell, son of Samuel of Salisbury and grandson of Samuel the emigrant of 1638, came to Brunswick in 1736, and settled near Bull Bridge. There were baptized in Scarborough, 19 July 1736, Elizabeth, Dorcas, Mary and Ruth, children of John and Elizabeth Getchell. Their children born in Brunswick were Abigail, 10 May 1737, and William, 6 Sept. 1740.
John Getchell m. (2) 1742, Mary Barber of Falmouth. They had twelve children. He died 10 May 1771, aged 74 yrs.

Requiem mass will be offered Monday, 10:15 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church here with Fr. John Cowley of Rapid City as celebrant. A rosary will be said in the chapel of the Hobart Funeral Home, Rapid City, Sunday at 8:15 p.m. Burial Monday will be in the Scenic Cemetery. Motter was born in German Valley, Ill., July 18, 1884 and came to Scenic to homestead in 1906. He had lived here since. Motter was a rail road employee when the company was extended from Chadron to Rapid City. He was active in community affairs. Motter was married Nov. 17, 1912 to Mary S. Mulloy who preceded him in death in 1929. Survivors in elude two daughters, Mrs. Paul Zelfer, Scenic; and Mrs. Melvin Flannagan, Santa Ana, Calif.; six grandchildren; four brothers, Ralph of Polo, III; Clint and Howard, Leaf River, Ill.; and John of Joliet, Ill.; and five sisters, Mrs. Charles Fouch, Oregon, Ill.; Mrs. Laura Carson, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Stella Westerman, Mrs. Eddie Schelling and Mrs. John Winche, all of Leaf River."
