[55751] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 18 July 1985, p. 26: "East Holden - Ernest E. Hutchins, Sr., 74, died July 16, 1985 at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Brooks, Aug. 31, 1910, the son of John and Lenora (Thompson) Hutchins. He was a member of Local No. 320, Pipe Fitters Union, and constructed and operated Hutchins Mobile Home Park of Brewer until his retirement. He was a member of the Masons and Consistory of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rites, Corner Stone Lodge of Portland, joining in 1945. He obtained his 32nd Degree in 1966 and became a noble of the Mystic Shrine, Anah Temple of Bangor. He received his 40-year membership pin in 1985. Mr. Hutchins had attended Twin City Baptist Church of Brewer. He is survived by his wife, Annie (Wallace) Hutchins of East Holden; one daughter, Judith D. Burns of Lamoine; one son, Ernest E. Hutchins, Jr. of Brewer; one sister; Alice Reynolds of Monroe; three grandchildren, Deborah D. Burns of Ellsworth, Cheryl A. Burns of Lamoine and John E. Hutchins of Orrington; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Kiley-Birmingham Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, with the Rev. Robert Treadwell officiating. Interment will be in Harts Corner Cemetery, East Holden."
