[8513] Willard's obituary: "Willard Everett Spivy, 85, of Rogersville, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, April 27, 2003 in James River Care Center, Springfield. Willard was born on December 5, 1917 in Montpelier, Ohio to Pleasant and Josie Spivy. Willard was a graduate of Strafford High School class of 1934, member of the Fordland First Baptist Church, past Deacon at Rogersville First Baptist and Sunday School teacher and song leader at Shiloh Baptist Church. He was past President of Rogersville Area Senior Center and a Rogersville MFA Board member for 20 years. He was a retired dairy and cattle farmer. Willard was married to Irene E. Grier on October 6, 1940 and she preceded him in death on March 9, 1991. Willard was married to Maxine Marshall Procter on March 7, 1992 and she survives of the home. Also surviving is his daughter Carolyn Sue Russell and husband Kerwin of Rogersville; two brothers, Thomas Spivy of Bakersfield, CA and Clifford Spivy and wife June of Rogersville; sister Rachael Straw and husband Gilbert of Rogersville; three grandchildren, Terri Stamps and husband Greg of Springfield, Vicki Russell of Amarillo, TX, and Brian Russell and wife Sue of Las Vegas, Nev; four great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Ryan Stamps and Brianna and Madison Russell; step-chil- dren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Harold and Alberts Procter and children Rae Etta and Steve Cook and Courtney; Elizabeth and Stephanie Horton; Clarence and Connie Procter and children Terry and Charlene Procter and Brian, Shawn and Kristin; Allen and Susan Procter and children Adam and Sonya; Earl and Lois Porter and children Mark and Charlie Porter; Michelle Porter; Randy and Ranee Young and Najee, Darrion and Creek; George Procter and friend Marilyn Vandover and children Dennis and Nancy Procter and Tristen and Jacob; Ginger Procter and Brandi and Lacie; Angela Procter and Mikayla, Kerihana and Ashten; Keith and Cathy Procter and children Shane and Lori Procter; Dustin and Rose Procter, and several nieces and nephews."
