He was born at home on January 5, 1939, to Don and Kay Dunbar. Known as 'Papa' to many, he was a lifelong resident of his beloved hometown, Bucksport, and graduated in June 1958. In September, 1959, he married his high school sweetheart, Jacqueline Willett, and they celebrated their 62nd anniversary Sept 1st. Frank honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958-61 with his final station in Thule, Greenland. He was an expert marksman on the rifle team and was a firearms Safety Instructor for the state of Maine. After completing his military service, he attended Hanson's Barber School in Lewiston and graduated in 1962. He maintained a barber shop in seven locations on Main Street for 54 years to the day, received the Bucksport Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year award in 2009, and retired in 2016. His daughter, Diana Roberts, barbered with him for 28 years and continues to operate the shop where he loved to visit. He attended auctioneer school in Missouri in 1970, and had many successful auctions. Frank was an avid supporter of local school sports and was very involved in community affairs. He served as a Bucksport Town Councilman, a member of the Bucksport Rod and Gun Club, Economic Development Committee, Board of Assessment, Bucksport Historical Society, charter member of the Veterans' Memorial Committee, President of the Class of 1958 Alumni, and Chaplain of American Legion Post 93. As a people person, he enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a certified antler scorer for MASTIC. Frank earned a vast reputation as a storyteller, and never tired of entertaining his listeners. His military service sparked a passionate interest in veterans' affairs, and he was instrumental in placing flags on veterans' graves. He loved history, and had a special interest in WWII, with memorable trips to the memorial in D.C. and Iwo Jima for the 60th Reunion in 2005. [56496] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 16 April 2021: "Milo - On April 14, 2021, Marie Leone (Ellis) Bradstreet, 86, claimed the promise of her Lord and Savior. She was born in Milo on July 12, 1934, to Opal (Pray) and Charles Ellis Sr. Marie's grandfather first took her to the United Baptist Church of Milo when she was 5 years old. She was a regular attendee of services at that same church for her entire life. Marie first met Vaughn Bradstreet, her future husband, when she was still in high school. Vaughn used to deliver ice to her parents' home for their ice box. He would stay to play pick-up sticks with Marie on the front steps while he was getting to know her. Marie and Vaughn were married on August 29, 1953, in Milo, ME. Vaughn carried the picture of Marie shown above in his wallet from 1953 until his death in 2019. As a teenager, Marie began her working career at Daggett's Pharmacy in Milo. She held various jobs before settling into a lifetime career with the United States Postal Service. Marie was a letter carrier as well as a front desk clerk. After retirement, Marie and Vaughn loved to travel. They took yearly trips to New Hampshire for their anniversary. They traveled as far east as Prince Edward Island, Canada, and as far west as Anchorage, Alaska. One of their most memorable trips was when they traveled to enjoy sunny Florida and had difficulties returning home due to the flood of 1987. Marie is survived by her devoted daughter, Carol Jean Sawyer; grandchildren, Avery Sawyer and his wife, Jerusha Sawyer, Elizabeth Vaughn, and Aaron Sawyer and his wife, Jessie Cassell; and great-grandchildren, Raven and Lark, Alexander, Aiden, and Vivienne, and Ashton and Charles. Marie was eagerly awaiting the birth of her eighth great-grandchild who is due to arrive this August. She will be missed by her sister-in-law, Beverly D'Arcy; brother-in-law, Earlan Bradstreet; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years, Vaughn Bradstreet; her parents, Charles Ellis Sr. and Opal (Pray) Ellis; son, Steven Bradstreet; brother, Charles Ellis Jr.; infant siste, Rosalie Ellis; son-in-law, Edward Sawyer; and brothers and sisters-in-laws, Charles, Lawrence, Nancy, and Judy. Marie delighted in her family's fur babies as they were brought into her life. She enjoyed Brutus, Shane, Storm, Black Jack, and Bruno through their years. She will be missed greatly by Chloe, Duckdog, Daxlan, Cooper, and Luna Rose."

[53138] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 15 July 2010: "Argyle Twp. - Howard Wesley Hatch, 73, my husband, the love of my life and my best friend of 42 years, died July 13, 2010, from a heart condition that he had dealt with for 25 years. He was born Dec. 18, 1936, in Argyle, the son of Maurice and Marion (Bowley) Hatch. How does his family describe the loss of a man who encouraged his wife to do whatever she wanted and a son who was given all the love and support to become the man that he did? We will miss his optimism about facing each day with a promise of a better tomorrow. How we will miss his calming demeanor when everything seems to be falling apart, especially on those snowy nights when equipment failure was a given. We will miss those evening conversations over a cup of coffee and just the joy in being in each other's company. He served in the U.S. Army and a tour of duty in Germany during the build up of the Berlin Wall in 1962. He worked at the U.S. Air Force Refueling Station, Argyle, for more than 30 years. He plowed the roads in Argyle until he could no longer breathe, and only then did he feel it was time to give it up. He cut and hauled pulp wood in his early years before changing over to a small gravel business. He also served as the town fire warden for more than 20 years. Howard is survived by his wife, Donna (Amero) Hatch; and his only child, Wesley Howard Hatch and his wife, Melisa (Sanborn) Hatch, and their son, Howard's only grandchild, Colby Wesley Hatch, of Argyle. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy (Hatch) Jordan of Argyle; brother-in-law, Howard White of Alton; father-in-law, Alton Amero of Alton; sister-in-law, Joyce (Amero) Smith and her husband, Ralph, of Jonesport; sister-in-law, Jane (Amero) Albert and her husband, Gary, of Bridgeton, N.J.; brother-in-law, Greg Amero and his wife, Ann, of Argyle; his best friend, Richard Seger of Milford; many nieces and nephews, who marveled at his courage and endurance. Howard was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Madeline (Hatch) White; nephew, Ronald Jordan; mother-in-law, Waneta Amero; sister-in-law, Majel (Amero) Lanham; and his childhood buddy, William 'Billy' Murray."
