[55682] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 29 January 2024: "Belfast - On Jan. 22, 2024, Jason 'Jake' Eugene Farnsworth passed away at the Waldo County Hospital in Belfast. Jason was born in Bar Harbor, on Dec. 6, 1955. He was the fourth child of Charlotte Rich. As a child, Jason loved playing baseball and being involved in the Boy Scouts. He was once given a yellow Tonka Truck as a gift, which he slept with at night. As an adult, he enjoyed riding his Harley all over the United States and Canada. His riding partners, who you could usually find by his side, were his beloved sister, Betty, and her husband Barry. He was always happy when his niece Chantelle would visit - with a plate of brownies in hand. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and clamming. He took pride in being able to live off the land as a way to provide for his family. Jason was also proudly a black belt in karate. Jason worked as a fisherman, as well as a carpenter. He would blueprint and design homes, something he took a lot of pride in. Many homes he designed and built can be seen on Mount Desert Island and throughout Hancock County. Jason was predeceased by his mother, Charlotte Rich. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Farnsworth of Bucksport; his children, Willam Bishko and his partner, Elizabeth Bridges of Maine, Lanicka Lindsey of Washington, Brendan Farnsworth and his wife, Victoria Mangio of Washington, DC; and Lauren Farnsworth and her husband, Jon Rice of Maine. Jason also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Hayley and Willam Bishko, Jade dEntremont, Emma, Florence and Jakob Lindsey and Lily Rice. He is survived by his siblings, Betty, Laura, Hazel, Leslie and Bessie. He is also survived by a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins."
