She was a former resident of Dedham and, for the past eight years, had been living here. She was the widow of Ellery T. Gray. Mrs. Gray was born in Brewer, Dec. 8, 1886, and was a member of the Daughters of America Lodge and the O.E.S., both in Bloomfield, N. J. She belonged to the Dedham Grange and the East Bucksport Methodist Church. Surviving are eight daughters, Mrs. Glenice Bernot of Dedham, Mrs. Linnie Bernot of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Ruth Gray of Bucksport, Mrs. Florence Bartlett of Dedham, Mrs. Madeline Smith of Los Angeles, Mrs. Arlene Frhrig of Waretown, N. J., Mrs. Julia Dillon of Irvington,, N. J., Mrs. Priscilla Kelley of Camden, N. J.; one son, Lloyd Gray of Portsmouth, N. H.; one brother, Bernard Hughes of Machias; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held at the East Bucksport Methodist Church Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Roy Pike officating. Burial will be in the Dedham Cemetery."

[45578] "News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 12 February 1941," p. 9: "Ashland - Mrs. Effie Myers Fuhrman, 64, prominent Ashland resident, died early today at her home, 408 Claremont avenue, following an illness of six months. She was the widow of Edgar Fuhrman. She had been one of the town's most active club women. She was a past regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the Eastern Star Lodge, past president of the Missionary guild of the Emanuel Evangelical church, historian for the Morr-Myers families and a member of the Day View Reading club, Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank E. Barton of West Newton, Mass ; two sisters Mrs. Celina Countryman of Jeromesville, and Mrs. Sevilla Spreng of Ashland; a brother, G. D. Myers of Ashland. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p. m. at the late home in charge of Rev. Alva M. Rickel of Perrysburg, and Dr. B. F. Martin of Ashland. Burial will be in Ashland cemetery."
