Anne was very active in the Warren Church and later the Westbrook Warren Church, serving as administrator for many years. She also was instrumental in the Senior Meal program and many other church activities. She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1978; her parents; and two brothers, Mederick Clifford Dyer and Albert David Dyer. She is survived by three sons Robert and wife Sherry Fletcher of Westbrook, James Fletcher and significant other Laura Maynard of Westbrook, Wesley Fletcher of New Hampshire; grandchildren Alexis, Megan, Taylor and Margo,sister Elsie D. Black of Gorham; and several nieces and nephews."

He was the son of Donald W. Leighton and Cynthia E. (Savage) Leighton. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Janet D. (DeWitt) Leighton; brothers, Robert, Richard and Clyde; and sisters, Juanita Savage Orman and Rebecca (Leighton) Leen. Charles is survived by his sons, Dwane, Jeffrey, and Michael and wife, Melinda, all of Stetson; sisters, Rose (Leighton) Tenney of Dexter and Charlene Leighton of St. Albans, 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Charles was also loved by many friends in the town of Stetson. Charles was a graduate of the Corinna Academy. Charles was well known in the Stetson community for his many years of service as selectman and many other positions for the town. He was also one the of the founding members of the Stetson Historical Society. He started his family machine shop in the basement of their house in the 1970s, later moving out to the barn behind their house and from there built a shop in 1980, which has continued to grow since then. He was also co-owner of Leightons Bus service for 46 years with his wife. Charles loved fishing and golf and traveling. One of his favorite places to travel was Myrtle Beach with his wife, Janet."

"West Schuylkill Herald [Tower City, Pennsylvania], 14 July 1933," p. 1: "Alfred Schwalm, a highly respected citizen of Hegins, passed away at his late home on Sunday evening. He was born May 6, 1857, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Schwalm, of Hubley Township. He received his early education in the schools of Hubley Township, and when he attained the age of 18 years was elected a teach er of the Township. He taught in the Hubley and Hegins Township schools for a period of 25 years. He also served as justice of the peace of East Hegins Township, and later became a notary public. Both of these positions he held for 36 years. During the Wilson administration he served as postmaster. He was twice married. Mrs. Alberta Schwalm, nee Fisher, his first wife, died in 1913. To this union two daughters and one son were born. In 1914 he married Mrs. Clara Reed Hoffman Hock, who survives. Two daughters, Mrs. Sara Koppenhaver, of Pillow, and Mrs. Annie Reeder, of Shir-menstown, Pa., and two brothers, Joseph, who conducts a general store at Pine Grove and Jackson, of Valley View, also survive. Fratrnally he was a member of the P. O. S. of A. and the I. O. O. F. of Hegins. His funeral was held from his late home in Hegins, Thursday morning. H. R. Buffington, of Valley View, was the funeral director in charge. Mr. Schwalm for a number of years was the Hegins correspondent to the Herald and he also wrote news of that vicinity for other newspapers."
