"News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 6 May 1952," p. 8: "Crushed to death under an overturned tractor, the body of Mrs. Carl Mutchler, 52, widowed mother of nine children, was found yesterday afternoon in a field near her home southwest of Loudonville. Arccording to Sheriff M. F. Rickenbrod, who was called to the scene at 2:30 p.m. Mrs. Mutchler, whose husband died two years ago, had gone to the field early in the morning. He looked out and saw the overturned tractor and shortly afterwards discovered the body. Dr. H. M. Gunn, Ashland county coroner, gave a verdict of accidental death from a crushed chest. Mrs. Mutchler had been dead four or five hours when found, the coroner said. Mrs. Mutchler was born in Ashland county, Feb. 18, 1900, and lived in Loudonville all her life. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic church in Loudonville, the church Guild, and the Hanover Grange.
