He was a respected member of the church at Levant village and will be greatly missed. Besides his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Mayhew of Levant, he leaves his wife, Mrs. Winnie and five young children. Hazel, Dorothy, Lilllan, Ralph and Roland; three brothers, Ernest Mayhew of Levant, Elmer Mayhew, who was summoned from a training camp in Maryland, but arrived too late, and Alton Mayhew of Levant. Mr. Mayhew was born in Hermon and was 31 years of age."
