"The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 21 December 2016": "Bonnie Billings, of Little Deer Isle, died peacefully on Dec. 6, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on Feb. 20, 1943, to Melvin and Kizzie (Black) Billings, in Castine. After graduating from Deer Isle High School in 1961, Bonnie joined the Navy, where he served on the U.S.S. Talbot County, LST1153. After serving four years, he returned home to Little Deer Isle. Bonnie married Linda (Sylvester) on Sept. 4, 1964. After serving in the Navy, Bonnie began working in several of the local mining operations, including Blackhawk, Callahan, and Kerr American. Other careers included lobster and scallop fishing with Linda, and learning to be a welder, working under Herb Grindle. After several years working with Herb, Bonnie opened his own welding and blacksmithing shop, a business he ran successfully for more than 35 years. Bonnie was always an obsessive tinkerer, taking on and mastering many hobbies over the years. This passion led Bonnie through building muscle cars, street rods, ice boating, ice fishing, and through several renewable energy projects including a homemade windmill and solar hot water. In 1988, he joined the Deer Isle Fire Department. Through his perseverance and dedication, he was a valued member of the volunteer department, using his skills to create many specialized tools, and to refit equipment and apparatus. Bonnie was always on scene to lend a hand wherever needed.
Bonnie was a proud veteran, and enjoyed the company of his veteran friends. He is survived by his wife, Linda, brothers Ronald and wife, Genice, Nelson and wife, Leslie, sisters Jo and husband, George Larrabee, Georgia and husband, Brent Morey, as well as an abundance of beloved nieces and nephews."

[58078] Elizabeth's obituary: "Houlton - HOULTON - Elizabeth "Betty" Britton, 86, died Jan. 1, 2013, in Houlton. She was born Oct. 13, 1926, daughter of Carlton and Mable (Parker) Grant. Betty loved the Lord and taught Bible study for many years. She is survived by her children, Daniel Faulkner, Ray and Gloria Britton, and Janet and Donald Hanning; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Roland and Myrtle Grant of Florida, Carl "Avon" and Mary Grant of Houlton, and Fred and Mary Grant of Missouri; and sister, Marion London of Hodgdon. She was predeceased by her parents; two husbands, Hartford Faulkner and Bernard Britton; brothers, Galen and Blaine; and sister, Patrea McDunnah. Regarding to Parish of Norwell, Nottinghamshire, http://www.nottshistory.org.uk/articles/blagg1930/norwell1.htm reports: "At one of these Willoughby houses Agnes Hatfield, mother of Archbishop Cranmer, was probably born and lived; for her grandfather Lawrence Hatfield had bought it in 1456, and as he is later described as 'of Willoughby,' he presumably lived there. According to the Inquisition Post Mortem of his grandson, Henry Hatfield of Willoughby, in 1541 (printed in our Societys Record Series, Vol. III., p. 266), this house was then known as 'Bekerdes Hall' in Willoughby, and in Henry Hatfields marriage settlement in 1528 he had made Thomas 'Cranmore,' Doctor of Theology, and presumably his nephew, one of his trustees. This house, 'Bekerdes Hall,' seems to have been the Lisours manor, for Thoroton appears to record from early Deeds and Fines the conveyance of the Hatfields property here from the Malets to the Lisours and, after some generations, to William Foljambe in 1443, from whom through trustees or mortgagees, it was conveyed to Lawrence Hatfield in 1456."
