[45701] "News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 13 September 1946," p. 2: "Jeromesville - Robert Winfield Chesrown, 71, died at his home, two miles south of Mohican at 1 a. m. today after a lingering illness. He is survived by his wife, Olive F. Chesrown; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Pearce and Miss Alice Chesrown, both of Mohican; four brothers, H. H. Chesrown, of Greenwich; D. C. Chesrown, of Florida; L. 0. Chesrown, of Lakeville R. D.; and Todd, of Loudonville. The body is at the Fickes funeral home where services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p. m., with burial in Fairview cemetery."

[29942] "Elizabeth Echo [Elizabethville, PA], 9 February 1922," p. 1: "The funeral services of Lewis C. Hoffman, who died in the Williams Valley Hospital as the result of a tree falling on him while cutting timber, were held from his late home on Main St., Gratz on Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock, the Rev. W. Z. Artz of the Lutheran church officiating. The main services were held in the Lutheran and Reformed church. A large choir rendered the music. Undertaker Miller had charge of the funeral. Interment in the Gratz cemetery. Mr. Hoffman was born in Washington Township on December 23, 1864. He was the son of William and Elisa Hoffman. On Jan. 28, 1865 he was baptized by Rev. J. C. Snyder. His confirmation as a member of the Lutheran church took place at Himmel's church on April 27, 1884, the Rev. I. F. Boyer performing the act. His marriage with Sallie A. Klinger was consummated on Aug. 20th, 1887, Rev. S. S. Henry performing the ceremony. To this union 2 sons Edward and Thomas, and 2 daughters, Katie and Fae were born. He passed away on Monday, Jan. 30, at the age of 57 years, 1 month and 7 days. He is survived by his widow, four hildren, five grandchildren, by his aged mother and three sisters."
