Hannah's family line also goes back to the Mayflower through John Alden. The descendants of Jehiel and Hannah Fuller have Great grandparents going back the to the Mayflower on both sides of their families. In 1795 Josesph Jr., Jehiel and their families to Jackson Township, Pennsylvania. Jackson Township bears the name of the immortal old "Hickory", Andrew Jackson --the hero and statesman--the man of brains and both physical and moral courage. The township was formed in 1844; is fifteen square miles in area, and was taken from the original township of Plymouth. It once had only game and a grand old forest, that thirty or forty years ago gave employment to its nine sawmills cutting it into lumber; then there were three gristmills, and in the entire township was but one old-time country tavern. It lies in the hills, much of it broken and rough. The first white man to make this a permanent home was Palmer Ransom in 1795, leading the way for the soon coming of, Joseph, Jehiel, Maj. B. Fuller, and a few others. - Source: http://www.rootsweb.com/~paluzern/patk/jackson.htm - : Descendant of Edward Fuller of the Mayflower by William H. [29649] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marienborn offers concerning Ann Catherine's birth place: "Marienborn is a municipality in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, about 27 km (17 mi) southwest of Haldensleben. It is part of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ('collective municipality') Obere Aller. The historic pilgrimage centre near the former inner German border is known for the preserved Helmstedt-Marienborn border crossing, now a memorial site. In 1191 Wichmann von Seeburg, then Archbishop of Magdeburg, established an asylum at the site of a Marian apparition and a spring (Born) with healing waters, which during the 13th century evolved into a monastery of Augustinian nuns. The sisters of Marienborn abbey left a monastery church and cloister with foundations from about 1200, while the pilgrimage chapel at the spring is a replica of the 19th century."

[2151] Ralph followed Duke William, whom his father had served, to England and became an important landowner in the March of Wales after the rebellion of Earl Roger of Hereford, 1075, receiving many of the Hereford lands including the castle and town of Wigmore (thereafter the chief seat of the family). The Domesday Book indicates that Ralph was one of the richest tenants in chief in northern Herefordshire and southern Shropshire. {-Encyclopaedia Britannica, 1956 edition, 15:827} See "Medieval English Ancestors of Certain Americans," Carl Boyer III (Santa Clarita, CA, 2001), p. 166.
