He received his father's homestead lot in Reading and in 1817 it was converted into the Farmer's Hotel. Worthington, whom he married Jan. 5, 1935; two sons, Dave Worthington of Mansfield and Bill Worthington of Shelby; three grandchildren, Steve Worthington of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Stephanie Fox of Atlanta, Ga., and Paul Worthington of Shelby, two brothers, Harley Worthington of Holiday Lakes and his twin, Rolla Worthington of Shelby; three sisters, Dorothy Roth, Mary Viers and Zootie Ross, all of Shelby; and nieces and nephews."
