Jeanne de Tallebot (b. 1020 in Cleuville, seine-Maritime, Normandy), daughter of Hugh of Cleuville de Tallebot (b. ca. 1000 in Battlesden, Bedfordshire, England) and Marie de Meulan (b. ca. 1005 in Meulan, Ile-de-France, France). Robert fought on the side of William the Conqueror at the Battle of Hastings, 1066.

Armold, died Tuesday morning in Mansfield General Hospital following a two year illness. Mrs. Armold was born May 27, 1886 in Waltham, Mass. For many years she was associated with her husband as a chiropractor in Armold and Armold Chiropractors. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Thursday Art Club and the Cottage Garden Club. Surviving are one son, Richard Dean Armold of Chagrin Falls, and two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Bebout of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Margaret Eichel of Decatur, Illinois." Roy's first marriage was with Alice Loretta Kauffman (1908-1938). He is son of Andrew McGowan (1859 - 1928) and Sarah Emmaline Reisinger (1868 - 1931). "Duncannon Record [Duncannon, Pennsylvania], 1 Nov 1973," p. 12: "Roy Mason McGowan, 72, Millerstown RD 1, died Monday, Oct. 22 at Meda Nipple Convalescent Home, Thompsontown RD 1. He was a retired employe of Precisionware, Inc., Thompsontown. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Paul McCauley, New Cumberland; a son, Kenneth L., Millerstown RD 1; three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Foose and Mrs. Albert Latchford, both of Millerstown RD 1, and Mrs. Luther Roush, Maryland; five brothers, Samuel and John, Millerstown RD 1, Clarence, Newport, Herbert, Maryland, and Harvey, Port Royal; and four grandchildren."

John was a fisherman, farmer and tavern keeper. The History of York (ME) reports that four of his sons were taken during an Indian attack in October, 1705 - ages 3 to 12; two sons were killed and the fate of a third is unknown, while Joseph is thought to have returned to York. John died before 12 April 1748 in York.
