[56266] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 3 April 2024: "Sullivan - Agnes Marion Taylor, our wonderful mother, died March 16, 2024, at the age of 101 and 5 months. She is now at peace with the Lord. She was born on Oct. 31, 1922, in Hodgdon. She always affectionately called herself a 'witch.' She was looking forward to being reunited with her husband Merrill S. Taylor; parents Chester and Della (Richardson) Nickerson; and siblings Ralph Nickerson, Vivian Gehan, Carrie Appleby, Claude Nickerson, Hilda Beers and Avis Martelle. She always went by the name Marion (never cared for the name Agnes). Marion always had a smile and was always positive. Her life was not always easy, but she made sure her children never wanted anything, at the expense of doing without. Not sure how she ever managed to always work a full-time job, manage the household, and raise three not so perfect boys. Marion worked as a registered nurse in Maine, California and Michigan up until her well-deserved retirement."
