He was married to Anna Maria Moser. By the will of his father he was to receive the homestead, but was to give certain amounts to each one of his sisters, and the records show that he was faithful in the discharge of this provision. From this union we find thirteen children; eleven grew to maturity while twins died in infancy. The children were: Anna Maria. David Leiss; Henrietta m. Isaac Leiss; Sarah m.
