Leo was born at Jonesport June 7, 1920. a son of George and Lucy May Alley. He was a graduate of Jonesport High School, Class of 1940, and during World War II served his country in the Army Medical Corps. Leo was a 35-year member of the American Legion Post No. 8 of Cherryfield and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. Leo worked many jobs throughout his life to support his family. His kindness earned him the love of many outside his family He was a man who always cared for others ahead of himself. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Ernestine (Byant) Alley of Jonesport; four daughters, Carla Lougee of Vallejo, Calif.; Cynthia Kenney and her husband, Dale of Jonesport, Teressa Cultrera and her husband, Phil of Prospect Harbor, Tammy King and her husband, Bruce of Wakefield, Mass.; four sons, Julian and his wife, Mary of Addison Johnny and his wife, Laura of Jonesport, Dean and his wife, Teresa of Jonesport, Jimmy and his fiancee, Marla of Jonesport; 11 grandchildren, Joey, Ryan and his wife, Patty, Todd and his wife, Sandy, Tricia Jennifer and her husband, Shawn, Michael, Tory, Angie Anthony, Bradley and Timmy; four great-grandchildren, Travi,s Dwayne, Ryan, Jr., Shaela and Logan; one brother, Ellery and his wife, O'Neda of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Oriana of Jonesport. He was predeceased by two sons, Joey in 1976, Dwayne in 1993; his parents and one brother, Leon."
