She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Mars Hill, a former member of the Goodwill Club and a former member of the Farm Bureau Extension. Surviving are 6 sons, Burnes, Philip, Wendell and Wilmont, all of Mars Hill and Earl of Westfield, Merle of Hartford, CT., a daughter, Mrs. Adonis (Eleanor) Cheney of Rockland, 3 sisters, Lucy Dyer, Mrs. Raymond (Emma) Giggey and Mrs. Truman (Dorothy) Giggey all of Blaine, 31 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren. After her death, John married 1 May 1672 Elizabeth Coleman born 28 Feb 1652, daughter of Edward Coleman of Yarmouth MA. John had moved to Yarmouth about 1651 and acquired a small estate. He was intemperate, improvident and wasted his and his wifes estates. He died at Yarmouth in 1697 having reached an old age of 80. His will was dated 3 Aug 1689; and proved 20 Feb 1697."
