Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Wednesday at Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. Born Aug. 19, 1902, in Brookfield Township, he was the son of Van Luther and Elizabeth (Hoag) Briner. He married Lillian Ott on Sept. 16, 1951, in Brookfield Presbyterian Church. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Ronald Briner, of Grand Ridge; daughters Ann Bruce of Spneca, Mary (Mrs. Richard) Kilmer of Mazon and Jean (Mrs. Russell) Brickert of Marseilles; a stepson, Ted Hebner, of Pekin; a stepdaughter, Shirley (Mrs. LeRoy) Schuck, of Pekin; 17 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Angeline Enockson and Lois (Mrs. Martin) Morey, both of Marseilles." Henry m. (2) 3 July 1947 Della Hebner (1908-1950) and (3) 16 Sept 1951 Lillian Ott. Henry and Lillian r. Ottawa, IL and attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Marseilles, IL.

"Centennial History of Summit County, Ohio and Representative Citizens (Chicago: Biographical Publishing Co., 1908), p. 484: "Jonas Franklin Miller was a boy of eight or ten years when he made the trip from Pennsylvania with his parents, and he was reared on his father's farm, experiencing all the hardships of pioneer life. Throughout his entire active period, Mr. Miller was a hard-working, industrious citizen, and at the time of his death had accumulated a fortune estimated at $20,000, most of which was invested in land in Norton Township, Barberton and Loyal Oak. His death occurred at Loyal Oak, Ohio, Feb. 1, 1907. Mr. Miller married Marietta Slaughback, who was born at Northampton County, Pennsylvania, and who still survives, her home being at Loyal Oak. Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Miller, namely: Uriah Augustus; Alice, who became the wife of H. F. Myres; Milton H.; Ida, who is deceased; Harry E.; John G.; Ella, who married James Harter; Ellsworth, deceased; and Elizabeth, who married Charles Gable." - this source states Jonas is brother of Mrs. J.
