Richard's obituary: "Lewiston - Richard E. Brackett, 85, of Lewiston, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, Jan. 25 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. Richard was born July 31, 1934 in Farmington, one of seven children born to Robert N. Brackett and Agnes N. (Masterman) Brackett. e was a 1952 graduate of Jay High School. Following graduation he proudly served in the U.S. Army in Korea and Vietnam, he retired as Seargent 1st Class after 22 years of service. In 1956 he married Linda Lou Stevens and they enjoyed 32 years together before her passing on Feb. 27, 1988. He later married his wife of 18 years, Constance J. Dube, she passed on April 26, 2007.
Richard worked as the night shift paginator for Sun Journal from 1974 until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the Lewiston Senior CitizensÂ’ Pinochle Group. Richard will be remembered as a devoted family man, and always ready for a good conversation. Richard is survived by his son, Richard Brackett and wife Linda of Lewiston; grandchildren, Shawn Brackett and wife Irene and Andrea Brackett and companion, Cameron Brousseau, his stepchildren, Michael Cosgrove of Florida, Kathleen Peters of Florida, Maureen Adams of Otisfield, Gerard Dostie of Auburn, and Mary Kay Cosgrove of Windham; 22 step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandstepchildren; along with one remaining brother, Clifford Brackett of Florida. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Agnes; one grandstepson, Deryk Peters; stepdaughters, Linda Dittler, Michelle Swift and Sheila Rousseau; his sister, Harriett Mayo, and four brothers, Russell, Arthur, Malcolm and Robert."

She was born March 4, 1911 in Ashland, the daughter of William D. and Georgia (Portney) Snowman. Marion grew up in Ashland until moving to Hartland at the age of 14, She attended Hartland Academy, Marion married Levere Hart in 1933. After living in Corinna for more than 35 years she moved to Pittsfield in 1978. She was a good friend to her neighbors and a kind and loving mother and grandmother who always put her family first. She enjoyed her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, and would make doughnuts, cookies, pickles and jellies for them. She had a passion for her hobby of embroidery, having finished more than several pieces over the years. Marion had also been a member of the Farm Bureau and Grange. She is survived by her son, Bryan Hart and wife Marilyn, of Huber Heights, Ohio; daughters, Gloria Debeck and husband Charles of Pittsfield, Sandra Simpson and husband Wayne, and Carolyn Gillahan and husband Robert, all of Hampden; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren three great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Levere Hart, in 1981, and siblings Kathleen (Snowman) Snow and Vernon, Millard, and Donald Snowman."

She was employed by Edward's Co, Pittsfield; Tannery, Hartland; and Sanfield Rehabilitation Center, Hartland. She was very community minded and was known to help her neighbors. She kept busy caring for others and volunteered at Sanfield Rehabilitation Center, Hartland. She loved to sew crochet and play Scrabble. She was excellent at cards and played to win. She loved her family very much and always wanted to be near her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Grace-Linn Memorial United Methodist Church, Hartland the Cleora Rebekah No. 111 Lodge, the Couples Club and the Senior Citizen's Club. She is survived by four sons, Robert Hodgkins of Hartland, Delmas Hodgkins and his wife, Donna, of Dexter, Harvey Hodgkins and his wife, Sandra, of Kensington, Conn., and Philip Ham of Hartland; four daughters, Betty Lane of South Portland, Alice Vanadestine and her husband, Leroy, of St. Albans, Darlene Charrier and her husband, Wayne, of Waldo, and Rochelle Oelrich and her husband, Jay, of East Hampton, Mass.; 14 grandchildren Roberta Hodgkins, Alan Hodgkins, David Hodgkins, Darlene Ulrickson, Dawn Davis, Jennifer Iacino, Abbie Charrier, Matthew Charrier, Jeffrey Vanadestine, Lee Vanadestine, Caitlin Oelrich, Amber Lane, Portia Lane, and Levi Vigue; 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
