Daron, a retired farmer, who has been ill since last April, died at the home of his brother, Willis W. Daron, with whom he resided. He was in the 64th year of his life and has been ill for some time with a complication of diseases. Mr. Daron, who has resided in Carlisle for the past ten years, was a school teacher and a farmer in earlier life. For several years he was a nurse at the Cumberland County Almshouse. He was a member of the Owls and was affiliated with the St. John's Episcopal church of Carlisle. Besides the brother, Willis, with whom he resided, he is survived by several other brothers who reside in the west." June 27, 1901 Bernard was appointed postmaster at Sterrett's Gap, Perry Co., PA (until March 21, 1902). They r. Carlisle, PA in 1921 per sister Caroline's obituary.
