Mrs. Boyd died on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at East Texas Medical Center Hospital in Tyler.
She was born on Nov. 21, 1934, in Albert Lea, Minn., to Archie and Mary Knudtson Anderson. She was a military wife and traveled and lived in many different countries before coming to Hideaway in 1992. Mrs. Boyd was a member of Lindale First United Methodist Church and was active in the Hideaway Mah Jongg group.
She was preceded in death by her father, Archie Anderson; and sister, Karen Krinkie.
She is survived by husband, Orlyn Boyd of Hideaway; son and daughter-in-law, Miles and Darlene Boyd of Cecilia, Ky.; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Ronald O. Cooper of Sheridan, Ind., Donna Joy and Paul Hoffmann of Redlands, Calif., and Sarah Christina and Jason Sutton of Beaver Creek, Ohio; mother, Mrs. Mary Hope Anderson of Albert Lea, Minn.; brother and sister-in-law, David and Phyllis Anderson of Minneapolis, Minn.; six grandchildren, Lauren Olson, Lamar Olson, Jesse Boyd, Brennan Boyd, Joshua Sutton and Jackson Sutton; three great-grandchildren, Oliver, Darby and Calvin.

Funk, Master Mechanic of N. C. R. W., shops at Marysville, Perry County, was an old citizen of Port Royal. She was born in Turbett Township in the year 1800, and at the time of her demise was in the 84th year of her age. She was a daughter of Samuel McFadden, and her mother's maiden name was Bell. The deceased was married to Samuel Rice, son of John Rice. They lived in Mexico, this county, for some years, where her husband kept store. In 1835, Mr. R. died leaving a wife and one daughter, Sarah. Mrs. R. then returned to Port Royal. Her daughter married John Adams, and died in 1865. Mrs. R. married Emanuel Wise, of Mifflintown. He lived only a few years after their marriage, Mrs. Wise again returned to Port Royal where she resided until becoming quite feeble through infirmities incident to old age when she went to Marysville and was kindly cared for by her sister and husband until the turmoils of life with her were ended. The remains of the deceased were brought to Port Royal at noon on Friday and interred in Church Hill Cemetery. She leaves two sisters, Mrs. Jane Funk, of Marysville and Mrs. Mary Rice of Landisburg, Perry County, and a large circle of relatives and friends. Winterset Madisonian - November 19, 1936 -
William Henry Paullin, a native Iowan and a resident of Madison county since the Civil War days, died at his home in Winterset, last Friday. He was 89 years of age.
Mr. Paullin was the son of William and Mary Paullin, and was born in Louisa county on June 10, 1847. His parents had come from Ohio to Iowa while it was still a territory.
When he was about 20 years old he came to Madison county where he had since resided. He was married to Esther M. Cline on June 10, 1874. They were the parents of eight children, two of whom died in infancy, and a daughter, Mrs. A. R. Clark, died in 1926.
In 1894 Mr. Paullin united with the Methodist church at Fairview. Upon moving to Winterset five years later, he transferred his membership to the church in this city.
On June 10, 1934, Mr. and Mrs. Paullin celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary. The following August Mrs. Paullin died, and since that time his health had gradually failed.
He is survived by five children: L. E. Paullin of Des Moines, Mrs. Maurice Orr, E. H. Paullin, Mrs. Charles McDonald and Ray Paullin all of Madison county. He also leaves 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Methodist church in Winterset in charge of the pastor, the Rev. M. R. Talley. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

She married Enoch Strout before 1840, in Maine, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 6 daughters. She lived in Glenburn, Penobscot, Maine, United States in 1860. She died on 14 April 1890, in Bradford, Penobscot, Maine, United States, at the age of 67, and was buried in Pond Road Cemetery, Bradford, Penobscot, Maine, United States."

[53347] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 29 March 2023: "Orland - It is with great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude that we announce the passing of our brave and devoted wife, mother, mimi, sister and friend on March 12, 2023. Marnie was born in Castine to Darrell and Ruth (Wardwell) Rollerson on May 16, 1949. She was the fourth of five children, where she grew up in Bucksport. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard, her daughters Molly and Mattie and her grandson, Cade. She is also survived by her older sister Judy White, who was also her closest friend. Marnie first met her husband Richard at the Toddy Pond Marina at the Friday Night Dance in 1966. They were later married in 1970 and by 1976 had purchased the farm on the Back Ridge Road in Orland. For the next 47 years, they, along with their daughters and grandson, dreamed, lived and cultivated the farm life. Most days, you would find Marnie simply doing what she loved: working in her beautiful flower beds, the vegetable garden, mowing the lawn and even the sides of the road, per the request of her cats! You might also catch her weed whacking the ditch or on the back of her beloved horse, Tia. You would often see her traveling the Back Ridge Road on foot with four or five dogs, pausing to stop and chat with her neighbors and often inviting their dogs to join the fun. She was a woman who possessed many talents. She was a homemaker, farmer, small business owner, master gardener, horse riding instructor, an animal lover and advocate, an avid runner and hiker, which included hiking the 100-mile wilderness and paddling the 92 miles of the Allagash Waterway. She loved her dogs, the ocean, her spot on Toddy Pond and was generous, uniquely independent and fiercely loyal to her family."
