Oct. 7, 2017, after a long vigil by loving members of her family. She had been under the tender care of Citrus County Hospice for many months. Thelma was born in Jonesport, Maine, Jan. 26, 1923. At a young age she became a member of the Advent Christian Church on Beals Island, Maine. She graduated from Jonesport High School and the Bangor School of Commerce/Husson College. She taught at Crosby High School in Belfast, and also Jonesport High School. She is the last of a family of nine children by Josiah and Emily Alley. Thelma is survived by her husband of 71 years, Whitney Newcomb of Inverness; son Burgess and his wife Deborah of Homosassa, Fla., son Gary and his wife Patricia of Newark, Ohio; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Her remains will be cremated at the Chas. E Davis Funeral Home With Crematory and eventually interred alongside those of her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. A family memorial is planned for her 95th birthday. Her life was dedicated to her family and the Golden Rule." Thelma is daughter of Josiah Merchant Alley (1859-1931) & Emily Delia Alley (1883-1976), both buried in Sewall Field Cemetery, Beals, Washington Co., ME.

Cut was born June 11, 1924, in Monticello, the son of Roy and Ottis (Worth) Foster. Cut grew up in Aroostook County attending high school at Ricker Junior College. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Lewis Hancock DD675 as a radar man in the Pacific Theater. He was awarded a number of honors, including the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon with nine battle stars. He worked for the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad for 39 years. He retired to Englewood, Florida, where he resided for 25 years. While residing in Englewood, he was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church, an Elder for seven years, and served on the Wildflower Village Board of Directors for eight years, seven as president. He was Past Master of Nollesemic Lodge of Masons, Past Patron of Onawa Chapter of Eastern Star, past member and director of the Bangor Chapter, Royal Order of Jesters and Past Potentate of Anah Shrine. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Rosamond (Chase) Foster and their son, Robert Foster; sisters, Vera McPherson and Leuella Miller. He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn and husband, Larry Willinski and Katherine Foster. He leaves four grandchildren, Jennifer (Willinski) 'the light of his life' and husband, David Lyons, David Willinski, Fr. Dominic Ted Foster, T.O.R. and Anthony Foster; two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Taryn Lyons; two special nephews, Ronald and Michael Brown and niece, Erin (Brown) Lundy, his 'second' granddaughter; daughter-in-law, Marie Foster; sisters, Nancy and Charlotte; several nieces, nephews and cousins."

[48292] Find A Grave memorial 51996500 offers: "Samuel and Mary Ella, after being married by Rev. L.S. Tripp on New Years Day 1870, lived for nineteen years at Billing's Pond. At first in a very old Cape Cod house, later in a cottage type of house with an ell. This house was built by Samuel and his father as they were carpenters and cabinet makers. Samuel went to sea as a young man and was in the Navy during most of the Civil War. One of the ships he was on was the monitor 'Monadnock'. After living in Blue Hill, where their three children were born, they sold that place and went to East Surry living in Mary's father's home until Samuel died on December 9, 1890."
