Finkenbinder, well-known farmer, of near Bloserville, died at 11:30 Monday noon, from a stroke of apoplexy be sustained while feeding the hogs. His body was found at the pen. Mr. Finkenbinder was in his usual health at noon and did not complain. He was 66 years of age and is survived by his wife and the following children: Harvey, Ralph, and Dorothy, of Carlisle; John, of Bloserville; Mrs. Herman Zimmerman, Carlisle; Chas., of Lemoyne, and Martha, at home. He Is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Minich, Bloserville, and Mrs. Annie Riggleman, Mechanicsburg." The LDS Church's unverified IGI file states that John is son of Andrew Finkenbinder and Margaret _____. The 1880 census lists Andrew (age 58, b. in PA as were his parents) as a farm laborer with wife Margaret (age 5, b. in PA as were her parents) and children John W. (age 21, day laborer) and Mary C. (age 16).
