Bradbury. Everett served as a Gunnery Sgt. in Reg. 1, U.S. Marines (17 July 1917 - 19 December 1918), mostly in the signal corps. He previously served five months in the 241st Canadian Oversees Battalion from which he deserted. His draft registration 5 June 1917 in Lowell, MA states he is single and is a travelling mechanic for Racine Tool & Machine Co., Racine, WI. The unverified Duffee Family Tree n 2020 in Ancestry.com reports (with copies of the marriage records) he m. 2 July 1918 at Pittsburgh, PA Helen Spencer (1897-1967, a native of PA) and 14 April 1927 at Los Angeles, CA Mary L. Heaton and 5 December 1929 in Yuma, AZ Ellena Tsylki Wilson (age 26, a native of Mexico, r. in Los Angeles). The 1920 federal census states he is an automobile salesman. His 1929 marriage license states he is an electrical engineer. Everett, then a bookkeeper, served time in 1933 in Huntsville, Texas State Penitentiary for forgery. He committed suicide in South Bluff Park in Corpus Christi - the coroner's report states this was by drinking Lysol solution.

John's obituary from ""The Leader-Vindicator" [New Bethlehem, Clarion Co., PA]: "John Wesley Doverspike, a lifetime resident of Pierce, Pa., passed away at his home at the age of 76 years, May 28, 1926. He was born on a farm near Fairmount City Aug. 6, 1849. Early in life he married Catherine Procious who preceded him in death twenty years ago. To this union were born twelve children, six sons and six daughters. Seven of these children preceded their father in death. Those who remain are Mrs. H.A. Boozer, of North Freedom; Mrs. S.C. Campbell, of Franklin; Mrs. John Sheridan, of Hawthorn; E.H. Doverspike, of Pierce; C.M. Doverspike, of near Limestone. Later in life he married Mrs. Hockenberry, of Hawthorn, who also survives. Mr. Doverspike was a member of the Evangelical church for more than 50 years. He was a devoted father and a faithful husband. During his lifetime he made many friends in the community in which he lived and was always ready and willing to aid them in times of trouble."

She married Johann Adam Rebuck in 1808 in Pennsylvania. They had five children in 24 years. She died on January 13, 1863, in Pitman, Pennsylvania, at the age of 72, and was buried there."
