[42904] Mary's birth year is from her grave marker. In 2017 the unverified Alandar-Olsen tree in Ancestry.com offers: When Mary Kitner Brunner was born on April 6, 1818, in Perry, Pennsylvania, her father, Abraham, was 51, and her mother, Mary, was 51. She married George Bothwell on March 19, 1839. They had eight children in 18 years. She died on January 31, 1892, in her hometown at the age of 73, and was buried in Duncannon, Pennsylvania. "The Perry County Democrat [Bloomfield, PA], 10 February 1892," p. 3: "On Sunday morning about four o'clock Mrs. Mary Bothwell died at the residence of her son-in-law, Martin Hiltner, in Penn township, after lingering illness of about nine months. For over fifty years she was a consistent member of the M. E. church in this place. By her death the church loses a faithful servant, her children a loving mother, and the community a valued friend. She was the mother of 9 children, 7 of whom survive her; 23 grand children and 4 great grand children. She was aged 73 years, 9 months and 25 days. Services were held at the house of Mr. Hiltner by the Reverends Hoke and Lightner. Her pall-bearers were her sons Ebert, William, John and Emory and her sons-in-law, M. J. Derick and William C. Brown. Her remains were interred in the Methodist Cemetery, followed by many friends, to see the last sad rites performed over their departed friend."

[3134] Hugh "was employed in the conquest of Ireland, and for his service there obtained from King Henry II, the whole county of Meath. He was subsequently constituted governor of Dublin, and justice of Ireland. But incurring the displeasure of his royal master by marrying without license the king of Connaught's dau., he was divested in 1181, of the custody of the metropolis. In four years afterwards he was murdered by one Malvo Miadaich, a mean person, in revenge for the severity with which he had treated the workmen employed by him in erecting the castle of Lurhedy." - Burke's "Dormant and Extinct Peerages," 1883, p. 310. He had two sons (Walter, his successor, and Hugh, constable of Ireland) and two daughters (Maud and Elayne, who m. Richard de Beaufo). Hugh succeeded his brother or father, Gilbert de Laci; Gilbert is son of Emme de Laci through who he inherited from her brother Hugh - this Hugh de Laci had inherited from his brother Walter -- their father Walter de Laci, was a Norman who came into England with his brother Ilbert at the Conquest. Carr P. Collins, Jr., "Royal Ancestors of Magna Charta Barons" (Dallas, 1959), p. 143, states Hugh m. as his second wife a daughter of Roderick O'Connor, 183rd Monarch of Ireland (d. 1198). Hugh's domain, Meath, encompassed 900,000 acres in Ireland, much more than presently in the county of this name. Hugh's formal titles included Lord Palatine of Meath, Lord Justice of Ireland and Earl of Ulster. See "Richard and John: Kings at War" (Cambridge, MA: Da Capo Press, 2007) , pp. 85-88.
