[14661] For her ancestry, see http://www.searsr.com/familyr/pafg56.htm - this site states Mary was b. 14 Jun 1831 in Brewster, MA and "married Thomas Whitcomb son of Thomas Whitcomb and Louisa on 22 Mar 1854 in Brewster." The site also reports her parents: "Nancy Sears (Christopher, Edmund, Paul, Paul, Richard) was born on 9 Nov 1794 in Dennis, MA. She died on 2 May 1872. She was buried in Red Top Cemetery. Nancy married Reuben Sears Jur son of Reuben Sears and Abigail "Nabby" Vincent on 6 Nov 1814 in Harwich. Reuben was born on 29 Jul 1791 in Harwich, MA. He died on 21 Feb 1845 in Brewster. He was buried in Red Top Cemetery, Brewster, MA" and lists their ten children.
[491] Rik Vigeland, 7253 S. Seven Oaks Lane, Canby, OR 97013 states Dorothy is dau. of Richard Taylor. If so, the unverified IGI file reports she was b. ca. 1538 and is of Taunton, Co. Somerset. Ancestry.com offers: "Tyler Name Meaning - English: occupational name for a maker or layer of tiles, from an agent derivative of Middle English tile tile. In the Middle Ages tiles were widely used in floors and pavements, and to a lesser extent in roofing, where they did not really come into their own until the 16th century."
