Alice, dau. of Sir Robert Cockfield, Kgt.); William was licensed by Edward I to build a castle at his manor house at Haslewood. John is son of Sir Robert le Vavasour who was Sheriff of Nottingham and Derbyshire under Henry III; his wife is Juliana, dau. of Gilbert de Ros of Steeton, Yorkshire.
