Stone). Reprinting a Woods Co., OH biographical volume, http://www.heritagepursuit.com/Wood/WoodBio1200.htm offers: "Joseph Brillhart, deceased, was one of the best known farmer; of Washington township, this county, and was truly a self-made man, having acquired all that he possessed through his own industrious and persevering efforts, combined with sound judgment and good business ability. He was born in York county, Penn., on. October 22, 1822, and was a son of John Brillhart, who was also a native of the Keystone State, and grew to manhood on his father's farm. On attaining, his majority John Brillhart married Catherine Lowe, and they became the parents of eight children, namely: Jacob; Mary, deceased, who was, known by the name of. 'Polly,' John, who was a minister of the Dunkard Church, and is now deceased; Catherine, who has also passed away; Daniel, a resident of Ohio; Peter, a farmer of Henry county, Ohio; Joseph, of this sketch; and Joanas. After the father's death in Crawford county, the, mother removed to Stark county, Ohio, where she departed this life at the age of seventy-five years. Joseph Brillhart obtained his literary education in the common schools of Stark county, remaining at home until he had reached the age of twenty-six when he went to Crawford county, Ohio, where for ten years he owned and operated a farm of eighty acres. On selling that property he came to Wood county, where he purchased 104 acres, which were still an unbroken wilderness, erecting thereon a log cabin. He immediately began the work of developing his land, making extensive improvements, and left one of the best equipped farms in the county. In Stark county, Ohio, was celebrated the marriage of Mr. Brillhart and Catherine Epley, and of their union the following; children have been born Benjamin, who is in delicate health is a farmer by occupation; Rebecca, who died at the age of thirty years, was the wife of White McMann, of Otsego, Ohio; Amanda is the wife of, George Mawer, of Grand Rapids township, Wood county; Hattie is the wife of George Stone; Calvin wedded a Miss Jeffers, and operates the homestead farm; and Frank is also a farmer. For a number of terms Mr. Brillhart served as school director, and while a resident of Crawford county filled the office of supervisor, he was a stanch supporter of the Republican party, and took to deep interest in its success, and throughout the county was well and favorably known, His death occurred on the old homestead, July 30, 1896."

He was baptized at Beaminster, Dorsetshire, 4 Jul 1585, son of "Richarde Pomerye." (On 26 May 1667 John Winthrop Jr. treated "[blank] Pommery," aged "above 80 years."
He married (1) at Beaminster, 4 May 1617, Johana Keech, who was battized at Beaminster, 15 May 1586, daughter of "John Kiche," & was buried there 27 Nov.1620. They had 2 children.
He married (2) at Crewkerne, Somersetshire, 7 May 1629 Margery Rockett. They had 8 known children. She died at Windsor 5 Jul 1655.
He married (3) at Windsor, 30 Nov 1664, Lydia (Brown) Parsons, widow of Thomas Parsons. On 16 Jun 1668 John Winthrop Jr. treated "Pummery, Lidia, above 50 years, wife of Elt. Pommery of Winsor," & on 23 Mar 1668/9 he treated "Pomery, Lidia, 52 years, wife of old Eldad {sic} Pomery of Winsor." She died after 7 Nov 1671.
