[47301] Find A Grave memorial 54019858 offers Vivian's obituary: "Penobscot - Vivian Blair Farnham, 80, of Penobscot Nursing Home, and formerly of Augusta, died Monday, June 21, 2010, at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, Blue Hill. She was born in Augusta on Jan. 29, 1930, the daughter of Hugh and Theo (Mooers) Blair. Vivian graduated from Cony High School in the class of 1948. She was employed by the state of Maine in the Department of Motor Vehicle from the 1950s until 1972. In 1972, Vivian moved to Penobscot where she and her husband, Alton Farnham, operated Farnham's Equipment Company for many years. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Alton S. Farnham, and a son, Anthony 'Tony' McGlauflin. She is survived by a son, David McGlauflin, of Irmo, S.C. and four grandchildren, Gwendalyn B. Benoit of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Maricel T., Anthony C., and Christian D. McGlauflin, all of Irmo."

William Herbert, like his father came into wealth by taking an active role in supporting the Kings of their time. William Herbert supported King Edward IV during the War of the Roses and was to become Earl of Pembroke in recognition of his achievements. He was knighted in 1452, fought with Edward at Mortimer's Cross and after the victory was made chief justice of south Wales as well as Baron Herbert of Raglan. In 1462 he became a knight of the garter, and in 1467 chief justice of north Wales. It was at Raglan and into the care of William Herbert and his wife that the welfare of Henry (VII) the future King of England was placed. William and his brother Richard were captured at the battle of Edgecote and executed." [William ap Thomas of Raglan Castle was son of Thomas ap Gwilym ap Jenkin (d. 1438) and Maud Morley, daughter of Sir John Morley.]
