Nancy was born on September 28, 1940, and attended Lee schools, graduating from Lee Academy in 1958. For over 20 years, she was a 'snowbird' in Barr's Park in Zephyrhills, Florida. Nancy will always be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, the funny things she used to say known as 'Grammy Nancyisms,' and her Irish temper. She was a member of the former Northwoods Alliance in Lee. She was the Correspondence Secretary at House in the Woods Military and Family Retreat and was on the Board of Directors for the Sgt. Joel A. House Summer Camp Fund. She loved to eat out at local diners with her friends, especially her neighbor, Geraldine Crocker, who has a special place in the family's heart. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister-in-law, Alton and Betty (Yeoman) Pickering, and her grandson, Joel A. House. She will never be forgotten by her three daughters, their spouses/significant others, her eight grandchildren, or her nine great-grandchildren: Deanna and Paul House with their children Luke House and son Joel T., Joy and Edward McLaughlin with their children, Eddie and Cora. Elaine Carey and Daryl Marston with children Jeremy and Alicia Carey with their boys, Joseph and Matthew; Stephanie and Justin Gifford with their son, Eliot; Amanda Carey and her fiancé, Eric Day, and children Maddox, Carson, and Roque; Sarah Marston with her daughter, Reese, Samantha and Gary Scott with their children, Andrew, Alyssa, and Aidan. Kathy and Joshua Crise with their children, Amelia Crise and Kevin Crise with his fiancéé, Fae MacKechnie. She was always very fond of her nephew and nieces, Dennis and wife Rachel Pickering, Pamela Madore, and Darlene Flood, and their children."
