He was born at New Limerick, Dec. 17, 1877, the son of Osgood and Sara (Hayes) Bradbury. Bradbury had been a resident here most of his life and he was a well-known farmer. Surviving are his widow, Laura (Kinney) Bradbury of Bridgewater; three son,s Earl and Eldon, both of Bridgewater, and Leon of Hartford, Conn.; 14 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. Friends may call at the Dunn Funeral Home of Houlton Wednesday from 7-9 pm Funeral services will be held at the Dunn Funeral home in Houlton Thursday at 2 pm with the Rev. Morris Hutchins officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery at Bridgewater."

[45163] "The Daily Item [Sunbury, Pennsylvania], 17 Apr 1946," p. 3: "Mrs. Mary Louise Schoffstall, widow of Charles Clinton Schoffstall, and throughout her early life a resident of this city, died in the home of her son, Joseph Schoffstall, 40 Stradford street, Trenton, N. J., Monday night after a long period of ill health with a heart condition. She was 67 years of age. Her husband, veteran employe of the Pennsylvania Railroad, preceded her in death in January, 1936. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Downs, she was educated in the local schools. Her father for many years was a Pennsylvania Railroad conductor, and her brother, Weitzel, is now in the railroad service, working out of Sunbury, and residing at Harrisburg. Her husband was a member of one of the leading families of the third ward of Sunbury. His father, Henry Schoffstall, was a leader in Republican party affairs, serving in the state legislature and for many yaars holding office as deputy revenue collector. He had many varied activities in his life, conducting a music store, and engaging in the manufacture of cigars. The family homestead was for many years on Walnut street east of Second. Charles C. Schoffstall bought the cigar industry, giving it up in his later years and going to the Northumberland yard office of the Pennsylvania where he was engaged until his demise. Since childhood Mrs. Schoffstall was a member of St. John's Methodist Church, and a former teacher in the Sunbury school. She is survived by two children, Miss Rosa E. Schoffstall, of Harrisburg, and Joseph H., of Trenton; three brothers, Weitzel Downs, Harrisburg; Frank Downs, of McCook, Neb., and Robert K. Downs, of York."
