"The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 30 January 2022: "Lee - Randolph Lee Delano, 64, passed away January 27, 2022, peacefully at his home after a decline in health. Randy was born October 7, 1957, the son of Byron and Susan Delano of Lee. Randy grew up in the heart of Lee and lived at "the farm" his entire life, and it was his desire to pass into heaven there. Randy was a 1976 graduate of Lee Academy and a 1978 graduate of the University of Maine, concentrating in agriculture. He then carried on with the family seed potato business while also working until retirement as a union ironworker. Randy grew up and was instrumental in the operation of Mt. Jefferson Ski Area where his love for skiing developed. His athleticism procured a truly graceful skier that could glide down the slopes at any speed. All who skied with him will envision this image. Kindness was an attribute that was instilled in Randy. His first reaction may have been his gruffness as a true Mainer, but he had a heart of gold. His smile could light up a room. Life is always busy but time spent fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, boating, waterskiing in earlier years, were always days he loved. Randy shared his life with many canines over the years. He could always be seen with one in the cab of his pick-up.
Randy is survived by the pride and joy of his life, his son, Taylor Alexander Delano of Lee and Ellsworth. Taylor brought so much fulfillment to his life. The two shared many interests and were closer than most relationships. He is survived by 5 siblings, Connie McLeod of Lincoln, Marjorie Louder (James) of Corinna, Daniel Delano (Sandra) of Pittsfield and Lee, Janine Smith (Daniel) of Springfield, and his brother yet best friend, Byron Delano Jr. (Julia) of Lincoln. Predeceasing him in addition to his parents, were a special brother-in-law, Ronnie McLeod; and a great-nephew, Brenden. Randy was blessed to be born into a large family with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins of all he was special with. Many cousins visited Randy recently and reminisced about the shenanigans of youth. Randy appreciated each and every visit with you all.

Her father, William, was 6th Earl of Connaught and 3rd Earl of Ulster - she was sole heir to the de Burgh lands and the vast Clare estates. She married Lionel before he was 4; he was recognized in her right as Earl of Ulster; their direct descendant became King of England in 1461 as Edward IV.
Remarks associated with her grave in http://findagrave.com: "The Duchess of Clarence, she was the only child of William Donn de Burgh, 3rd Earl of Ulster, and Maud Plantagenet. Born in Castle Carrickfergus, Antrim, Ireland, after her father's murder in June 1333 she became the sole legal heir to all the de Burgh lands in Ireland. Raised in England, she married her cousin, Lionel of Antwerp, the 1st Duke of Clarence, in 1352. In 1355 they had a child, Philippa Plantagenet. The Countess of Ulster died in Dublin in 1363 during her husband's term as Governor of Ireland."
