[57681] "Thew Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 28 December 2022: "Lincoln - Jennie Mary Haverlock Leighton passed on December 23, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 1, 1929, the daughter of Peter and Isabelle Haverlock of Howland. She was married for 68 years to the late William 'Bud' Leighton. She is survived by daughters, Marilee Dennison, Allison and her husband, Vinal Applebee, Sharon Leighton; a son, Michael Leighton; her grandchildren, Nicole and Danny Bailey, Brooke and Tee Raymond, Zachary Applebee; her great grandchildren, Kaiden Spinney, Weston Bailey, Calob and Gracelinn Raymond; her sister, Rosemary Glidden and a special brother-in-law, James Leighton; and many nieces and nephews. Jennie owned Leighton's Greenhouse for 41 years with Bud. She loved to play her guitar and lead the folk group at St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing and singing at the local jams. Jennie and Bud traveled around a lot but the most special place was the camp they built on Little Narrows. They loved kayaking and recently, she enjoyed her nightly rides on her pontoon boat, 'Jennie Mary.' Burial service will take place in the spring." Jennie is daughter of Peter Haverlock, Jr. (1897-1971) & Isabelle Yvonne Morin (1907-1968; m. 4 Aug 1928 in ME).
