"Kennebec Journal [Augusta, Maine]," 6 Apil 1963, p. 5: "Augusta - Frank Wardwell, 87, of 239 State St., was stricken and died on Water street Friday afternoon. He was born Feb. 16, 1876 at Penobscot, son of Quintas and Louise Leach Wardwell. He previously lived at Kingman where he was a member of the Kingman Methodist Church and Kingman Grange. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Henry Peters of Winthrop, Mrs. Percy Hanson of Gardiner and Mrs. Milan K. Wakefield of Gardiner; two sons, Carroll Wardwell of Auburn and Marshall of Farmingdale; three granddaughters and four greatgrandchildren."
