Bright, 6S years old, of Ashland, one of the best-known business men in Schuylkill county, died suddenly at 10 o'clock last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Haas, of Lansdowne, after a brief Illness. He had been ailing for several years, but went to visit his daughter two weeks ago, when he suffered a severe attack, which resulted in his death. Mr. Bright was born in Ashland and resided there all his life. He engaged in the lumber business when quite young and continued until a few years ago, when he retired. He served as a member of the Borough Council in that town on several occasions and was prominent In Elks' circles. He is survived by his wife and five daughters, Mrs. William Faust, New York; Mrs. Warren Stutsman, Philadelphia; Mrs. Leslie Gardner, Philadelphia; Mrs. Robert Haas, Lansdowne; Mrs. H. O. Fortner, Centralia. He is further survived by three brothers, John, Mt, Carmel; David, Shamokin, and Morton, of North Carolina."
