[30859] http://www.thepeerage.com reports " On his death, the Earldom of Northumberland became extinct." Find A Grave memorial 55387023 offers: "Josceline Percy was the heir to Algernon, 10th Earl of Northumberland, and Elizabeth Howard, daughter of the 2nd Earl of Suffolk. The last Earl of Northumberland, the 11th Earl had only one surviving child, Elizabeth, who later married Charles Seymour, 6th Duke of Somerset. On his death aged just twenty-six, the earldom became extinct, and Elizabeth inherited the entire Percy fortune. Her third husband the Duke of Somerset used her fortune to rebuild Petworth House, West Sussex, now owned and maintained by the National Trust, but still home to their descendants."
