(Hip) Troutman, 75, of 944 Shamokin St., cited Sunday morning at 2:00 in Geisinger Medical Center where he was a patient since Dec. 28. He was in ill health two years. Born in Reading, June 3, 1901, Mr. Troutman was a son of the late David and Mary Agnes (Geist) Troutman. He resided in Trevorton the past 15 years and previously lived in Newark, N.J. Before retiring in 1962, he owned and operated a wholesale egg business in Newark. Married May 30, 1953, in Trevorton United Methodist Church to the former Naomi Brace, he was educated in Upper Mahanoy Township Schools. Mr. Troutman was a member of Trevorton United Methodist Church, American Legion, Trevorton, and Herndon Masonic Lodge 702. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include the wife; a brother, Jesse Troutman, Dornsife R.D. and several nieces and nephews." The 1930 census of the David Troutman family states Willard is an insurance salesman.
