Hamilton, vol. ii, pp. 51-52). Cal. Fine Rolls, vol. i, pp. 355, 359-60. The King refers, 21 Sep., to "the laudable service rendered to him in Gascony by Ralph ... [who] died in his service there" (Cal. Close Rolls, 1288-86, p. 432). "Fort Collins Coloradoan [Fort Collins, Colorado], 4 December 1958", p. 2: "George C. Motz a resident of the Berthoud area for nearly 70 years and a former town marshal died in Greeley Tuesday morning. He had been in poor health for several years and had been visiting in Greeley for a week. Born in Iowa, Dec. 1, 1869, Mr. Motz lived in Selden and Old Sheridan, Kan., before moving to Berthoud in 1889 following his marriage. He operated a local dairy for many years before retiring. He is survived by two children, Charles Motz of Denver and Mrs Mattie King of Grandview, Wash.; a sister, Mrs Ray Warner of Kansas, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 3 p m Friday at the Schreiner mortuary. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery."

Roach, 91, of Mission, Texas, formerly of Loudonville, died Thursday morning, June 11, 1998, in Mission, Texas, after an extended illness. Mr. Roach was born March 2, 1907 in Nashville, Ohio, the son of Corliss and Pearl (Gauchat) Roach. Mr. Roach was the Administrative Vice-President of the Flxible Co., Loudonville with 48 years of service, retiring in 1973 with the second most seniority at the time with the company. For over 25 years he served as the company representative in labor negotiations. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville, was President of church council, chairman of the Building Committee, a Sunday School teacher, and the Sunday School Band, while in Ohio. In Texas, he was a member of First Christian Church of Mc Allen. He was a member and past Master of Hanover Lodge 115 F&AM, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, past President of Ashland County Scottish Rite Association, past President of the Loudonville Lions Club, past President of Loudonville-Perrysville Boosters Club, member of Gideons International, the Loudonville Camera Club and was a dance band leader. His professional memberships include: past President of National Metal Trades Assn., Cleveland branch; Chairman of National Committee on Employer-Employee Communications; the Society for Advancement of Management, Cleveland Chapter; National Assn. of Motor Bus Owners (NAMBO) Safety Committee; and American Transit Assn. He is survived by his wife, Frances A. (Powney) Roach, his son, Roger P. Roach of Grove City, PA, daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Fr.; and Edward Roller of Alliance, Ohio, and Miriam K. and Roy Cheek of Thomaston, Connecticut, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-greatgrandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen E (Paullin) Roach on Dec. 29, 1982, his second wife, Erline (Bright) Roach in 1986, a son Kenneth Lorain Roach in 1934, and 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

His nicknames were 'Strouty' and 'Big Bird' and he will always be known for his large curly hair, his wild spirit, and his warm heart. Michael was a loving and proud father and is survived by his two sons, John Michael Nadeau and wife Carolyn, and Zane Marshall Strout. Michael was predeceased by his father Pep. There wil be a graveside service in his memory on October 18th @ 2:00 p.m. at the Rock Maple Cemetary in Harrington at the family site next to his father."
