[43257] Find A Grave Memorial 175241318 offers: "" Mrs. Mina S. Leffler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Farnham was born at Canton, Mass., September 23, 1870: and died at Los Angeles, Calif., Sunday, November 15, 1919. She was 49 years of age when death claimed her. When she was a very small child, the family moved from Canton, Mass., to Lathrop, Missouri. In 1874 Mr. Farnham moved with his family to Carrollton, Mo., and from that time the decased lived in Carrollton, grew to womanhood and then married A. M. Leffler. Mr. and Mrs. Leffler made St. Louis their home for eight years, then spent two years in Panama and finally came back to Carrollton, where three years later, Mr. Leffler died. From that time on Mrs. Leffler made Carrollton her home. Her only son was drowned three years ago. On September 15th, Mrs. Leffler started on a trip to Monrovia, Cali., where she intended visiting with Mrs. Leah Leffler, aunt of Mr. A. M. Leffler. Saturday a letter was received by E. E. Farnham, brother of Mrs. Leffler telling of the operation. The message conveying the news of her death arrived Monday morning and was a shock to her many friends, though her immediate relatives and a few friends knew that she was in se4rious condition. Her death was the result of a malignant tumor. Mrs. Leffler was one of Carrollton's fine Christian women. She was a member of the Presbyterian church of this city from the age of fifteen. For many years she was organist at the Presbyterian church. She was a woman who had many friends and sorrow is deep at the news of her death. She leaves only one near relative E. E. Farnham, her brother. - printed in the 'Carrollton Democrat,' Carrollton, Missouri. Friday, November 21, 1919, Volume XLIV NO--48."
