She was born Jan. 19, 1911 at Willimantic, the daughter of David and Florence (Turner) Preble. She graduated from Eastern Maine Conference Seminary of Bucksport in 1928, she has since been a life-long resident of Willimantic. She is survived by five children, Mrs. William (Ruth) Dauphinee of Willimantic, Mrs. Roy (Barbara) Fairbrother of Guilford, Milton D. Leighton of Florham Park, N.J., Mr. Lawrence (Carol) Budden of Greenville, Mrs. Ernest (Dian) Bonsey of Dover-Foxcroft; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; cousins nieces and nephews." Ella is daughter of David F. Preble (1885-1962) & Florence May Turner (1893-1953; m. 24 January 1910 in Maine).
