[24437] NEHGR 1:171-2 provides his information, and states that his wife was Martha who d. in Dorchester, MA 23 Dec 1657 at age 60 - and reports "He was among the first Pilgrim emigrants to Massachusetts, and the first settlers of Dorchester. His place of residence was near Neponset Bridge, and he owned the land which has been known as 'Squantum.' He was made a freeman in 1634, and represented the town in 1635 and 1636. He was a ruling elder in the church thirty years . . . . He left a will, which is recorded in the Suffolk Records, Vol. VII, p. 189." The LDS Church's Pedigree Resource File (not verified) states that George m. Martha Stooke (b. 1597, d. 23 Dec 1657 in Dorchester, MA). [30489] http://helenesgenes.com/Snow.html reports "Isaac Snow was a sea captain and was away from home much of the time. His wife, Polly Paine, used to worry about him when he was away at sea. When a storm would blow, she used to say, "Blow high, blow low, right through the Whimsey House. Poor Isaac's dead I know." Poor Isaac never did die at sea, but lived to a ripe old age and died at home. As a result of Polly's little verse, the Isaac Snow home became known as the Whimsey House."
