“The Perry County Democrat, 11 August 1926,” p. 3: “Martin Stuber died at his home near Saville Wednesday and was buried Friday. The funeral was held at the Lutheran Church, services being conducted by Rev. C. F. Gephart, assisted by Rev. Beck, of Blain. Mr. Stuber had been an invalid for the past eleven years, being confined to his bed all these years with deformative rheumatism. He was a very patient sufferer: Before his affliction he was a regular attendant at church and was a man respected by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, one son Omer, two daughters, Mrs. Elliott Tousey, of Port Royal, and Evely, at home.”
