[33250] http://www.celtic-casimir.com offers in 2012: "The name Tybotot does not appear in the records before June 1204, when Walter, father of Robert Tybotot, a tenant in co. Leicester, is mentioned. Walter was one of the King's enemies at this time, for in July following the sheriff of co. Leicester was ordered to grant possession of Walter's lands to his overlord, the Earl of Derby. The date of Walter's death is not known. In 1209 Robert Tybotot was one of the knights of the King's household in the army of Scotland, and in September 1216 the release from captivity of Robert Tybotot, knight of the Earl of Derby, was ordered. There is no proof of the parentage of this Robert Tybotot, but the fact that he was a tenant of the Earl of Derby suggests that he may be the son of Walter, who was a tenant of the same Earl. HENRY TYBOTOT was probably of the same family. In May 1217 John de Boterel and Henry Tybotot were granted the lands of Adam Painel in Yorks and Lincs, and in 1223 the sheriff of co. Leicester was ordered to seize the lands of Henry Tybotot, who had attended a tournament against the King's wiii. Henry Tybotot had connections with Essex as early as April 1228, and in September 1229 he was granted custody of the lands and heir of William de Haye in that county. He was given timber from Essex to build a mill and a house in 1232 and 1233; and in April 1233 he was granted the manor of Shopland, Essex, to keep him in the King's service. Henry, who may have served in Ireland during the reign of King John, was granted protection, October 1229, for the expedition which was to go to Brittany and in April following he crossed to France with the King. In May 1234 he was among those asked to supply a knight for service in Brittany. He married Alda and died some time before 26 December 1241. Alda survived him but the date of her death is not known. [Complete Peerage XII/2:89-90, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)] . . . Henry married Alda. (Alda was born about 1205 in England and died after 1242.)"

[45440] See Pedigree Resource File DM4-PZN which states Louis is son of August Knofler & Mary Boerngen and offers: "Louis moved to Akron, Ohio when about 20 years old to accept a position with the Hall Dry Goods Co. Later he was employed by the A. Polsky Co. and the Dague Bros. Co. When the Dague Bros. sold out to the C. H. Yeager Co., Louis went into business for himself, operating Knofler's Ladies Ready-to-wear store on South Main Street, Akron, Ohio. Louis was named 'Gonkey' by his grandson Richard at an early age. When Louis retired, he spent his time repairing furniture and generally fixing things."
