[21929] Charlotte, first wife of Christian VIII, and her information are from http://ftp.cac.psu.edu/~saw/royal/r34.html (not verified; 2003). http://www.thepeerage.com/p10230.htm states she is his second wife, and names her "Karoline Charlotte Marianne Herzogin von Mecklenburg-Strelitz." and states that she is "daughter of Georg Großherog von Mecklenburg-Strelitz and Marie Wilhelmine Frederike Prinzessin von Hessen-Kassel."
[36021] The 5 April 1940 federal census in Guthrie, Panora Co., IA lists Persis (daughter, age 26) in the household of John Newbanks (farmer, age 65, b. in IL) - she is listed as a housekeeper, apparently for her father. Persis obituary in Find A Grave in 2014: m. " Gordon Coleman at Lohrville on November 10, 1940. They lived in Casey, but later moved to Linden. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, by one brother, Phil, and by one sister, Margarete Bassett. Survivors include three sons, Norman of Marietta, Ga., Gary of Panora and Gerald of Marshalltown; a brother, Harold Newbanks of Omaha, Nebraska; a sister, Harriett Crabbs of Norwalk; three grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren."

Ralston, 70, 1278 High, died Wednesday afternoon in a Topeka hospital following a long illness. He was born Jan. 7, 1907, in Sabetha and moved to Topeka in 1930. He was a pharmacist and owned and operated Owl Drug Store in Topeka many years. He also operated other drug stores in Topeka. He recieved his degree in pharmacy from Brunswick School of Pharmacy, Brunswick, Mo.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 51, AF&AM, Topeka Consistory, Arab Shrine, Kansas Pharmaceutical Association, Shawnee County Pharmaceutical Association and the Central Congregational Church. He was married Dec. 24, 1929, to Laurel Ewing in Sabetha. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marcia Boling, Guilford, Conn.; a son, Dan K. Ralston, Redding, Calif.; two brothers, Harold E. Ralston, Kansas City, Kan., and Virgil M. Ralston, Janesville, Wis., and six grandchildren."
