Find A Grave Memorial 65660752 offers from his grave marker: "Memorial/Cenotaph for Christian Bomberger, and reads: In Memory of CHRISTIAN BOMBERGER A God-Fearing and industrious man, who with his wife, Maria, two sons, John and Christian, and six daughters, left the Tenantry of Baron Von Der Fels, in Eschelbronn, Baden, May 12th, 1722, was granted a certificate of Honorable Dismissal by the Chief Magistrate at Waibstatt, and settled on this tract, among the Indians, he died in 1742, his body rest in the family God's Acre on yonder hill. Erected by his descendents 1923. NOTE; Yonder Hill is to the right (North) as you are looking at the memorial. Cemetery is about 400 feet from memorial. Christian, Maria and family arrived in the Port of Philadelphia, PA., six weeks later. They were the first family to settle in what is now Warwick Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. They received a deed (564 acres) from Heirs of William Penn in 1733. Christian's Will is dated 30 June 1741, he died in 1742 and will was proved 25 March 1742. Christian and Maria are presumed to be buried in the Bomberger Cemetery in graves no longer marked."
