[240] Obituary in the Patriot-News, Harrisburg, PA: "Larry was born July 15, 1937 at Ickesburg to the late Clarence and Kathryn Stewart Rice. He was preceded in death by a sister Margaret Reisinger and a brother Steven Rice. He worked as an independent truck driver and later carpentry and kitchen remodeling with his son until he retired. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Ickesburg. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and baseball along with traveling to visit his children and grandson. Continuing in life are three children, Jeffrey L. Rice and fiance' Deb Knouse of Mechanicsburg, Nicki L. Horvat and husband Steve of Grosse Ile, Michigan., Timothy L. Rice of Jupiter, Florida., two grandchildren, Grant and Linsdey, his former wife, Nancy J. Rice of New Bloomfield. Also surviving are his siblings, Calvin and wife Gladys, Carlisle, Don and wife Margie, Loysville, Dean and wife Vickey, Landisburg, Fred and wife Lucille, Ickesburg, Jack of Dauphin, Mary Bernhisel and Anna Ruth Peterson and husband Ray, all of Mifflintown, Bonnie Benner and husband Bob, Duncannon, Winnifred Flickinger, Blain, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 6968 Veteran's Way, Ickesburg with the Rev. Elaine Moyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery, Ickesburg."
